Where matching scenes help: thumbnails, carousels and slides

Updated November 1, 2026 · 3 min read

A recurring character makes your work easier to recognise. Here are three places where a set of matching scenes does the most.

Thumbnails and covers

People scroll past a lot of faces. When the same character shows up on every cover, your videos start to look like a series. Use a different scene for each one so the backgrounds change while the character stays the same.

Carousels

A carousel works like a short story. Twelve matching scenes give you a sequence, so each swipe moves the story on and the pictures still feel like one set. Add a short caption in the editor and export the scenes as pictures, or as a video.

Slides

Decks full of stock photos feel generic. A single character who appears on each slide, in a fitting setting, gives a talk a face. It works well for training, product walkthroughs and newsletters.

A note on honesty

These are AI-generated pictures. Say so when it matters to your audience, and only use a reference picture you have the right to use.
